University of Canterbury
Christchurch, New Zealand
New Zealand is known throughout the world as a country of great natural beauty that is easy to fall in love with and impossible to forget. The country's lakes, mountains, native forest, open spaces and clean air provide a magical backdrop to your study abroad experience. “Bicultural heritage in a multicultural society.” You can discover the rich culture of the Maori (our indigenous people) and enjoy local and international celebrations. With a population of around 465,800, Christchurch is the largest city and economic centre of the South Island.
In addition to selecting courses from an array of subject areas, students can elect to gain work experience and apply their analytical skills in PACE 295, a for-credit, real-world internship course organised by the University of Canterbury’s College of Arts. Internship students work with a local organisation on a special project, under the supervision of a specialist lecturer.
